SHAPS (School of Historical and Philosophical Sciences) annual ball hosted by The University of Melbourne's History Society, Classics and Archaeology Society, Philosophy Society and Chariot Journal.

 

Come with us down the Silk Road! Let's travel through time to gather for our annual SHAPS ball. We'll dance the night away alongside fellow SHAPS enthusiasts and free drink lovers.

 

When: Wednesday 16th of April, 2025

Where: Spice Market, Beaney Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000

Dress code: Black-tie (outfits aligning with the theme are not necessary but encouraged — especially if you're angling for the best-dressed award. You can find inspiration for outfits on our Pinterest Board here)

 

Ticket prices:

Earlybird prices will be active until 11:59pm on the 16th of March, then the standard ticket prices will be active until the 13th of April when ticket sales will end.

Earlybird Unimelb student: $85

Earlybird non-unimelb student (general): $90

Standard unimelb student: $95

Standard non-unimelb student (general): $100

If you are not a University of Melbourne student, you are able to create a guest account on the UMSU website to purchase your own ticket.

There is a per person limit of two tickets. Please check that you have selected the correct ticket type before completing your purchase as we will check this at the door before you enter the event.

Please note that this event is 18+ ONLY. You must be over 18 years of age to attend this event and you will need to present a valid form of photo ID along with your ticket to gain entry to the venue. It is your responsibility to ensure that you bring photo ID with you to the event as we will not be able to issue refunds for your ticket.
