Submit your nomination to the Returning Officer by filling the form found on our Linktree. Electoral regulations for the UMSU International Annual General Election can also be found on the page.
Candidate Information Session
The information session for candidates will take place on Friday 30 April and will be conducted via zoom. Further details, including the time and zoom link will be made available closer to the session.
Policy Speech Session
The policy speech session will occur after the close of nominations. The venue, form and date for the policy speech session will be circulated upon the close of nominations.
Voting Session
Voting will be conducted via the BigPulse platform, with an individual voting link sent to all eligible voters via their student email at the beginning of the voting session. After the voting period ends, The candidate(s) with the most votes will be elected for the position.
Co-Options
Co-Option is when our committee holds interviews to hand-pick the best, the skilled and the brightest to join us as central committee members. Because it is competitive, it is recommended that applicants have relevant experience to the role they are applying for. Co-options typically occur in semester 2 (August) annually.
Co-Option requirements
All students of the University of Melbourne will be eligible to run for Co-Option. Applications for the 2024-2025 intake is open from Monday, August 12th, to Friday, August 23rd 2024!
